Detail Itinerary

1Day 1 - Kathmandu Arrival (1400m/4600ft) approx. 30 minutes' drive

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, one of our representatives from Aarya Village Travel shall meet, assist and transfer you to your hotel. You will enjoy welcome drinks while you will be briefed about your Nepal Travel Itinerary. The rest of the day will be at your leisure.

2Day 2 - Drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap (B,D)

After breakfast, you can start your journey by heading out of Kathmandu on the Arniko Highway. The first part of the journey takes you through the suburban areas of the city, but as you move further away from the city, the road becomes more winding and steep. The drive can be challenging at times due to the narrow and winding roads, but the stunning views make it all worthwhile. Along the way, you can stop at various viewpoints to admire the beautiful landscapes and take pictures.

3Day 3 - Manthali- Lukla, 20-25 minutes flight: Trek to Phakding (2,652m/8700ft): 3-4 hrs walk (B, L, D)

After breakfast in Ramechhap, take a 1-2 hour drive to Manthali airport and catch a 20-25 minute flight to Lukla. From there, begin your trek to Phakding which takes around 3-4 hours and offers stunning views of the Dudh Koshi River, green forests, and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas. Phakding is an ideal overnight stop for trekkers heading to Everest Base Camp, and is a great place to explore the Sherpa culture and traditions. The trek from Lukla to Phakding is a perfect way to experience the natural beauty and cultural richness of the region, and is an excellent starting point for your trek to Everest Base Camp.

4Day 4 - Phakding - Namche (3,440m/11280ft): 6-7 hrs walk (B, L, D)

After breakfast we walk through Tik-Tok, Mamju and Jorsale to reach Namche. The walk from Phakding to Jorsalle is relatively easy. The Everest National Park begins at Manju where we check in at the first checkpoint. Walking along the banks of the Dudhkoshi for an hour we reach Jorsalle where we have lunch. From here we cross the Dudhkoshi river and bridge. We then climb a steep ascent on the route. Weather permitting, we might see Mt. Everest from Thami Danda. We pass through scenic landscape, waterfalls and Manne on the way. Situated at an altitude of 3440m is Namche where the temperature drops due to the altitude. Namche is the largest commercial area in the Everest region. In addition to the magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan Peaks, Namche also provides the traveler with all of their requirements including internet, ATM facilities.

Also, from Friday to Saturday a special type of fair held here. Bakery cafe and Pubs are also available in Namche.

5Day 5 - Acclimatization: short hike to Khumjung village (B, L, D)

Acclimatization is very important whilst climbing to high altitudes. So today we shall spend the time exploring the surrounding areas, you can take a short hike to 5-6 hours from Namche to Syangboche, then onward to Khumjung where we will stop for lunch. At Khumjung you can visit a monastery and a school built by Sir Edmund Hillary. All along the trail you will have a chance to see the many important Himalayan peaks. We return to Namche where you can visit a Sherpa museum. We spend the night at Namche.

6Day 6 - Namche- Tangboche (3,870m/12694 ft): 5 hrs walk (B, L, D)

The best time to start our trek is after breakfast. Today our destination is Tangboche. We head through Sanasa, Phunki Tanga. The trail is comfortable as it mostly consists of downhill paths. We stop for lunch at Phunki Tanga. The trail now is uphill to Tangboche. Again, throughout you will be surrounded by spectacular mountain views, traces of Buddhism and Tibetan culture can be seen everywhere. Tanboche is small town consisting of 5 hotels at an elevation of 3780m. Internet is available here but you should spend time viewing Ama Dablam Peak instead, as this is where you get the most stunning views.

7Day 7 - Tengboche to Kyangjuma (3,570m/11,710ft): 4 - 5 hours (B, L, D)

Today we go downhill from 1500m to 500m through rhododendron and fir forests to the Dudhkoshi River. Continuing on we pass Tashinga and Sansa Villages before we reach Kyangjuma. At Kyangjuma enjoy and appreciate the views of Ama-dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. Overnight in Kyangjuma.

8Day 8 - Kyangjuma to Monjo (2,840m/9,315ft): 4 - 5 hours (B, L, D)

We have to reach Namche Bazaar first then continue to Monjo. The trail clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma, winding through several bends. We keep an eye for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, etc. when passing through a forest trail. A steep descent takes us to a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We cross the river twice at separate locations before reaching Monjo

9Day 9 - Monjo to Lukla: 5- 6 hours (B, L, D)

The trail descends steeply before it turns upwards to the airstrip in Chauri Kharka. On the way we pass Phakding and Chopling villages. The climb from Chauri Kharka is the final climb of the trek. As the local staff you met in Lukla will not be accompanying you to Kathmandu, today is the last day you celebrate your accomplishment together. Overnight in Lukla.

10Day 10 - Lukla - Manthali: 20-25 minutes flight and drive to Kathmandu: Farewell Dinner at authentic Nepali restaurant with live cultural show (B, D)

After breakfast, you will take a 20-25 minute flight from Lukla to Manthali airport, followed by a 4-5 hour drive back to Kathmandu. The drive takes you through scenic countryside and small villages, offering a glimpse into the rural way of life in Nepal. The road is winding and can be bumpy in some sections, but the views of the Himalayas and the lush green landscape make the journey well worth it.

Evening we will go for Typical Nepali Dinner with cultural show by different ethnic group. It continues for 3 hours

11Day 11 - Departure (B)

Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Aarya Village Travel will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey.
