Our story and values

The story of Aarya Village Travel

 

Aarya Village Travel (AVT) began with the shared passion of two energetic young visionaries: Mr. Binod Adhikari and Mrs. Sarala Sapkota, who met at Kathmandu in 2008. Binod, completing his internship in Tourism, and Sarala, already an experienced professional with a Master’s in Social Science, discovered a common vision: to create a travel company that offered unique and authentic Nepal experiences. What started as daily 2–3 hour brainstorming sessions in local restaurants soon became a life-changing journey. Within a year, they founded Aarya Village Travel Pvt. Ltd., fueled not by capital but by determination, ideas, and an unwavering entrepreneurial spirit.

Starting from scratch with minimal funds and a second-hand PC, AVT initially focused on domestic tours: rafting, pilgrimages, and day trips. Facing early challenges, the founders relied on their dedication and persistence to grow the company. Their breakthrough came after exhibiting at a travel show in Dubai, financed through loans from friends and family, which opened the doors to international tourism. Since then, AVT has continued to expand its presence globally, participating in travel exhibitions worldwide.

By 2014, Binod and Sarala’s partnership evolved beyond business into a lifelong personal commitment. Today, AVT remains a small yet highly organized company, structured with dedicated departments for Sales & Marketing, Operations, and Admin & Finance. All staff begin as interns, gaining hands-on experience while pursuing continuous training, resulting in a team of highly skilled professionals well-versed in every region of Nepal.

At AVT, people are at the heart of the brand. The company believes that understanding clients is the key to exceptional service, ensuring that every guest leaves with memories of Nepal’s warmth, culture, and hospitality.
